PTTI Guidelines

ptti-guidelines - Philadelphia Technician Training Instiute

Citizenship and Community Membership: Philadelphia Technician Training Institute encourages our students to be active participants in the American political system as a part of being responsible members of their community.

The Importance of Voting: Perhaps the simplest and most effective way to participate in our society is to be an informed, participating voter. PTT students are strongly encouraged to register and vote in State and federal elections.

To register to vote in Pennsylvania, you must be:

  1. A citizen of the United States for at least one month before the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
  2. A resident of Pennsylvania and the election district, you want to register and vote for at least 30 days before the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.
  3. At least 18 years of age on or before the day of the next primary, special, municipal, or general election.

Once you have registered to vote, you are not required to register again unless you change your residence address, name, or political party affiliation.

Policy Against Discriminatory Harassment:  This policy applies to all members of PTTI community, PTTI students, including employees, independent contractors and their employees, and volunteers. It applies not only to the treatment of subordinates and co-workers, but also to interactions with others who visit or work at or with the PTTI. This policy defines discriminatory harassment, addresses the rights and responsibilities of the members of PTTI community, and describes how to avoid and report discriminatory harassment.

PTTI Sexual Misconduct Policy:  You can download PTTI Sexual Misconduct Policy PDF.

Constitution Day:

YouTube video

Each year, PTT celebrates “Constitution Day” on September 17 and offers activities to educate our students about the U.S. system of government and their individual role within it. We believe that for PTT to be a responsible part of our community, we should teach our students to do the same.
